Is there a plant that tinfoil barbs will not eat? These guys are eating machines. They get fed well on other food, but ate up all the java moss, java fern, and Christmas moss. I want a nicely planted tank, but do the tinfoild have to go? Other than their expensive eating habits, they are really cool fish. Any recommendations?

You can try different Anubias as they have very thick waxy leaves that most fish find hard to eat =)

I can relate to that. Tinfoil barbs are monsters when it comes to plants. They will shred plants even if they are well fed with other things. Sometimes, even when they are full. I feed mine a bundle of cabomba stems, each stem about 2ft. long (excess from my swordtail pond) and they will finish it overnight. No leftovers whatsoever. If you want a planted tank, I don't think tinfoil barbs are the way to go. Because even if they wouldn't want to eat a particular plant, they would still shred them most of the time. Good luck to you then, if you have success please let me know. But I gave up the idea of a planted tank with Tinfoil barbs about a year ago. :D
