I wasnt sure if i should put this in the plants section or here b.c., its a noobie plant question... anyways i bought a plant about a week ago (i dont know what type) and its beginning to turn brown on its pine needle like things, i was just experimenting with plants and i dont really know how to care for them, if someone could sum up plant care that would be great, b.c i dont really understand what people are saying in the plant forms.

i am just starting out so i might say something wrong. if i do i hope someone tells me so. the most important thing is light. wpg=watts per gallon. it seems most people usally have 2-3wpg. 20 gal tank would need 40-60 watts. another important thing is how the plant is placed. some of them need to be on rocks others float and some you have to plant. i cant find the website i am looking for. if you google freshwater plants you can find info. the one had pics with what you need to do. some plants need low light levels others need high levels. the next thing is co2. you can make your own co2 systems for 5-10 buxs. once you get that done there is more to learn such as how to Fertilizer.

well try to keep it simple. when i started out it was hard to figure everything out. i am still learning slowly. i learn a lot better doing then reading.
