I have eggs!! Just picked this pair up from a good friend, and within one week... they laid eggs!! I don't think they were even a breeding pair, he just picked one girl and one boy and wham! Of course, they are now in a community tank, so I don't think the babies will make it. I didnt even get a chance to set up their own tank. Check it out! Last pic is of the proud mom & dad!

Now if only my plecos would spawn.....

Thanks! I got these guys from a good friend in the area. He breeds and sells many of his fish. If anyone is looking for platinum angels, he's the person to get em from. Located in Cleveland area - will be very difficult to convince him to ship, so pick up only :) PM for contact details. I got my kois from a different breeder and absolutely LOVE them.

The eggs are still on the leaf but I don't think they will make it as there are many hungry angelfish in the tank. I was told that once they start breeding, they do it every couple of weeks or so. I'm gonna have to set up yet ANOTHER tank if I want the babies to have a chance...
 
Angels will spawn every 9-10 days your pair will not get it right till they spawn 3 or 4 times it will take that long.

leaving them in the community tank will help deepen the pair bound as they work together to chase off the other fish.They may also fool you and have a successful spawn it will be smaller then if they are moved to their own tank. but if you remove the free swimming fry you should get as many as fifty that way much easier to deal with and learn to care for. IME

Oh cool. Thanks for your advise. I figured the chances were slim getting everything right the 1st time. So we'll be learning together... me & the angels. :) So maybe I will leave them in there for a while and save whatever fry I get.
