i got 6 platy fry in a breeding net in a 10g. 3 are like 3/4 of a centimter long, and the other 3 are tiny, like newborns, but a little bigger. if i keep them in that net, will they stay that large? cuz i heard platies can not-grow so big if they're in a small tank. or is that swordtail?

Poor diet and poor water quality will stunt a fish.

A small space will not (unless the space is smaller than the fish's potential size, like a tuna in a 20g tank).

Good water quality becomes harder to maintain when you have a large bioload in a small body of water.

I dont know how big that net is but if it is small and you leave them in there I they will be more prone to disease as they grow(whether it is due to stress or other factors). I dont believe that will stunt their growth if it was for just a short period of time
