platy fry HELP

Well you know if I know something I'll stick my 2 cent in otherwise I let the people who know answer lol. I had platy fry and 2 survived. I never fed them, they managed to find hiding places until they were about about as big as my pinky nail. Then they'd come to feed with the rest. My sword had babies, but none of them made it. I saw a couple tiny ones, but I think the male gourami saw them too. I figure its population control. I don't want a bunch of fry anyway. Sad eh?

By the way, how many are in that fry tank? It all depends how many are in that little space. I don't think you'll have to wait till they're a quarter inch because your fish aren't the size that can swallow them. Just wait till they're too big for your greediest fish to swallow I'd think.

I kept my first fry, only found one after doing a gravel vac. (I probably sucked the rest of them up)

anyway, at my LFS i found this pretty cool plastic breeding case, it was only 3.00 dollars, it floats in the tank, with cover and all it still shares the same water as the others, small side vents, small enough so it won't escape or get eatin. i crush flakes and he enjoyes them.

it's been about 2 weeks now, what once was only 2 black eyes, now has color and swims like crazy. pretty cool to watch grow so far.

three and the tank i have them in is one of the float around with a lid and small slots too

they are really cute

so i hope they make it
