I've noticed my platys are constantly nipping at the plastic plants and aren't very aggressive when I feed them their flakes.

I feed them two to three times a day with very small portions each time. The last two days I've actually cut thier portions in half.

I've decided to throw in a small piece of boiled spinach and see if they just need a supplement in thier diet. I've been told it takes a two or three days before they actually start to eat veggies.

I also have corys and feed them shrimp pellets. Platys eat the pellets also.

Could anyone give me some possibilities as to why they are behaving this way? Is it normal?

Water Conditions: ph - 8.0, ammonia - 0 , nitrite - 0, nitrate - trace , hardness is around 200+ can't remember the units. 10 Gallon tank, 20"x10"
