I've got a male hybrid of a swordtail/platy mix. He has the dorsal fin of a platty variatus,The body of a big platy but just a little longer and a small sword. He is an orange color with green metalic sheen in stripes.
I was at a doctors appointment and stopped at a petco. There I found a highfin Red tux female platy. I am interested in the results of this combination. Specificly the dorsal fin on any males that may come from this union. Maybe later get a female sword that has liertail traits (pardon my spelling). Not wanting to mix hifin with liertail, due to the male's ability to reproduce. What do you folks think and what have you done or found?
