Play sand?

You kinda swirl the python over the sand...it gets most of it up. You can dig it down in a little bit, but pull up quick before it pulls sand down. I use sand because I have plants, and the poo, etc is mulched by the snails and goes into the substrate some too.

Thanks for the info! I might have to try the sand route sometime in the future. I think it looks much better than aquarium rock. I always thought it would be too tough to clean. :duh:

ima buy a big bag of the quickrete sand and test use it in my 1gal. If it looks easy, ima upgrade it to my 20gal project tank. If i can keep up with that i will put it in the almighty 30gal...if i dont like it i can always make a sandbox =]
