PLEASE HELP I DONT WANT HIM TO DIE

No you need to buy a separate test kit for ammonia. I like the API Master test kit that uses liquid reagents with vials and it has the pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate tests. The GH and KH kits need to be purchased separately.

I don't use the 5 in 1 test strips so can you post a pic of the color results label alongside the test strip?

I would also test your tap water when you get a chance just to have a base line to compare to the tank.

I just took the test again rightnow 2:06am ..do you think I should put more aquarium salt in?

#1 stop with the salt or any other water additives aside from a quality dechlorinator if you need that.

Sorry if I missed it but as far as I can tell you never mentioned if you change water on this tank and how often you do it. This is a very crucial part of the puzzle here.

The worms in the substrate are generally going to happen on an overfed, under-maintained tank.

That pic you have above of all the different foods and chemical treatments? All junk IMO, aside from maybe the freeze dried blood worms. Wardly and Tetra foods have terrible ingredients and the need for all those water treatments is about nil. I'm not trying to be harsh, I've been there!

Your not being harsh ... thank you for that. I'm here wanting to learn so I can have happy healthy fish. I do water changes more frequently now...
I just did a water change the day before yesterday..so when I get home I'll do another...so am I putting too much chemicals in the tank? I still haven't gotten an answer on why my fish keep dying and what's wrong with suckermouth ...thank u

It's not possible to say why your fish died. If you ever got ammonia or nitrite readings that could be the cause. What makes you think there is something wrong with your pleco? There is nothing apparent in your pictures. In any case never use salt on plecos. I recommend contacting the Ohio Fish Rescue they have members in California that will come take your fish and treat it, if necessary. They are all experienced aquarists with big tanks and he will get proper care and live in a huge tank.

Then before getting more fish, ask the members on this forum... they can advise you which fish you can easily keep with your water and tank size.

I would avoid the chemical adds and continue the water change and gravel vac regimen. I would feed less and only use foods with good ingredient lists. The first 3-4 ingredients should be whole protein or plant matter. If they're not, skip that food. No grains or fillers in the first 3 like many fish foods are loaded with.
