Hey guys/gals.

I found out last night that my brother was killed in a car accident the night before last. He hit a gravel covered patch of road a slid into the ditch in his Jeep. When he hit the ditch the Jeep rolled ejecting both him and his friend from the vehicle. He was thrown 100 feet from the Jeep and died on route to the hospital. His friend is in an induced coma with head injuries, broken legs and a fractured pelvis. They figure he will pull through but has suffered some major brain damage. My Brother has left behind two beautiful children, because a moments carelessness and not buckling up. If only he would have buckled up the roll cage on the jeep would have saved his life and my niece and nephew would still have their father.

This is the second sibling I have lost to a car accident( I lost my sister in 1998). So Please please please remember to wear your seatbelts and to drive with care and within your ability.

Adam.

Adam, my and my family's hearts go out to you and yours and especially those children. May God bless you in your time of need.

oh my.... sorry for your loss, your's and his family's loss and the friend's family and friends... that is tough, man.... you are all in my thoughtas and prayers... the hardest is knowing it could've been different had he took that moment...

Very sorry about your brother, Adam.

My family was in a car crash about 3 years ago. Luckily, we were all wearing Seatbelts. We hit a gravel covered patch, slid off the road and flipped the car the long way and broke someone's fence and landed tilted in a ditch. The GMC Pickup was all beat-up, the only thing I suffered was a scratch on my right cheek, because our dog was NOT wearing a seatbelt, therefore was flying around the car. She started in the back, ended up in the front. The Poor Dog!!
All the people who lived around there came running and helped us all out of the car. My dad was riding his street bike ahead of us, and so of course he helped too.
My mom had a broken Pinky and glass in her arm, but that was it.

As my mom always says, "It only takes once..."

Again, sorry about your brother.

Thank you all.

Another sad part is that they werent found for approxemately 2 hours after the accident. If they would have been found sooner he could very well still be alive.

We just have to hold out and hope for the best for his friend who was in the accident with him.

Jesus man....that sucks. My respect goes out to you and your family...and thanks for the warning.

I know it doesn't help at all, but I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Thank you for the reminder. I always wear my seltbelt and anyone getting in my car must, too.

Sorry to hear of your loss.. I hope your posting sinks in and may help others....

I am on the roads a lot - and see crazy situations just about everyday. Seatbelts do help.....
