Plecos

Gave my plecos some spinach last night and they never touched it. When I came back from work tonight it was all gone! I gave them a few peas tonight. Would that be a treat or a meal?? Sorry I have such dumb questions...

are they in a tank with other fish? if so, they are probably also eating whatever the fish drop

dont ever say that your question is dumb... or people might think that it really is!

Yup they are in a tank with other fish. So when I give them veggies I should probably skip the wafers? No dumb questions here! :dog:

if they eat both, then dont worry about it, just make shure that no food is being left to rott, so yea that would be a good idea

If its a new veggie it can take a while before the fish will be willing to try it. (at least that is what I have heard)

I'll have to try cucumber. They at spinach, took them a while. Peas were everyone's favorite. The tetras were fighting big time over them.

hey i dont wanna be a post hijacker but we are on the topic of feeding fish different things, what would happen if i fed my fish freezer burned spinach?

I alwase freeze my spinach before i throw it in the tank works fine.
Question about the peas what type of peas are you using and do they float in the tank?
