I'm looking for opinions on an idea I had. I was thinking of getting a piece of plexiglass and creating a "hill" to place in my tank and put sand over then but my rocks on top. So that I don't have to pile sand 7 inches high in a corner. Would plexiglass do anything to the water? I wouldn't cut the piece just heat it up to bend it.

Cool, thanks. I'll post a picture when I finish.

Alright I finished my plexiglass cave thing. Here it is.

We went to my dad's work and used their "heat gun" It's basicly a glorified hair dryer. You have to be patient though. Don't get to close so it bubbles or burns. You also have to hold one side where you want it until it cools enough to stay put. Good luck if anyone else tries it. Glad I got some postive reactions.

Thank you. Hmmm, I guess I'll have to experiment or find somebody with a heat gun. Good to know the tip about the bubbling. I have one of those Hot Shot steamers, I was originally thinking of trying that.

COOL! I want that but something smaller and maybe enclosed. I know somebody who has a heat gun but not sure if its still working. Its quite old! Ha ha.
I love how you made the nifty cave for your bichir! :thm:

Man I should sell these, lol. I think as long as you can heat it up enough anything would work. I always put the pens at work in the deep fryer for a minute or so,(after taking the ink out) and bend them into all kinds of shapes. I don't think I would recommend this for plexiglass however. I hope you can find something.
