i know they both made of same materials. but im having trouble deciding between them 2 due to their visual aspects.

flourite orginal is brown mixed with black. if it was all brown, i wouldnt have any doubt.

flourite red is very red. does it look natural underwater?

pics or personal experience would defintily help

thanks

I have Flourite Red mixed roughly 50/50 with medium grain sand. This tank is heavily planted and looks great! The Flourite Red captures the feel of iron rich clay and slow flowing streams from the orient. If used correctly, any of these can look very realistic and add to the authenticity of your aquascape. You could even get by with mixing the two together for a mid-way feel.

A mix might work out... But, I still think the FLourite Red is too red and prefer regular Flourite.

Wow, this is pretty funny, just yesterday, I e-mailed Seachem for a sample of both Flourite and Flourite Red. I also asked if there was a difference between the two and the person said that their wasn't. CB, do the same, e-mail seachem and ask for a sample of both. Also give them your name and address. I did that before I orded my Onyx Sand, I got a sample. It took about a week or so to come.
