Hey ya'll. Rather than continue to completely drain my pond and refill when it rains (until my yard grows in and the mud stops washing in), I'm thinking about a pond vac instead. Anybody have thoughts or opinions on any brands out there? Been looking at the Laguna brand power vac (http://www.pondliner.com/product/laguna_powerclean_cordless_pond_vacuum/pond_vacuums) as well as a few others, but cannot find reviews on any of them anywhere? Hesitant to spend that kind of $$ with nothing to go on but the selling company's enthusiasm.

Thoughts? Ideas? Help? LOL

I'm sure I'll be using it in the future too to clean out the pond a couple times a year (probably spring/fall), so it will be nice to have something to use other than the very slow garden hoses with no real cleaning power...

Thanks.

Well that one is definitely pricey. Do you think I need something that heavy duty for bi-annual cleaning, and the current mud problem? Or maybe would something a little less powerful do the job? I wonder if it's possible to rent pond vacuums instead? Or maybe there's someone around here that would just charge to come do it on occasion? Hmmm...
