Poo eating fish

Dirty jobs just had an episode at a striped bass fishery and they used carp and tilapia to break down the poo. Of course they further processed it after that through filters, condos, and their own estuary, but yes they were poo eating fish.

And my coworkers talk about how good the talapia at Applebees is all the time. If you really are what you eat, then they're eating poo.

ugh. I'm not really a fan of tilapia. a lot of places in nyc try to pass it off for fish and chips fish... and coming from the south shore of MA, I just can't handle it.

Prawn are also frequently used for aquaculture cleaning crew.

Think about it... shrimp, lobster, crabs, catfish, crawdads - most of the tastiest aquatic species are the poop eaters and scavengers.


So, if you ever decide on cannibalism as a viable lifestyle, eat lawyers.
