I am converting my pool in my backyard to a pond and wasn't sure as to what to do for the filtration of the pond. It uses one of these types of filters.

The pond/pool is 15,000 gallons. What type of media should I use inside the filter for filtration. Thanks for the help.

For convienience and ease of use, forget the micron cartridges, go with lava rock (biological) and pads (mecanical).

You can buy lots of floor scrubbs, I dont know their price in the US but here in Mexico they are very cheap and very efficient, you can even use a wet dry filter. Let me see if I can post a pic of the wet dry with floor scrubbs as filter material
