Hi,

I need to know what was goin on with my puffa fish last night! water quality is and has been fine, and he is also seems v happy too the greedy little sod.. I fed him last night at 7pm, needless to say he ate all his food, then i went back in the room about two hours later and notice that the under rear lefthandside of him was very swolen, almost like there was air trapped inside him, I got very worried and watched him for 25 mins to see how he was, he seemed fine, no change in charector or behaviour, there was not much i could do so i went to bed, and this morning it was gone  does anyone have an explanation of this?

cheers ryan

BACK IN MY SPINY BOX PUFFER DAYS......

I used to feed this thing and it wouldn't stop untill i stopped putting food in....I used to notice the silver sides and crill would sit in its stomach and leave a lumpy looking bump around the under side.........

if its not that.....sorry, i have no other info

Makai could be right on this. My trigger kinda does the same thing. However, what kind of food did you feed? Does it float? I try to avoid having my trigger come to the surface to feed as he tends to take in big gulps of air as he eats. He then sometimes becomes bouyant and achors himself in the rocks until he burps it out. If your puffer is not acting positively bouyant, than it's prolly just his din din awaiting digestion ;)
