Ok, not too sure how old Milo is, but he is a rescue cat we picked up yesterday. He was a stray (but had been a house cat at some point as he is toilet trained), he was found by a friend of a friend by the side of the road looking dehydrated (bearing in mind averge temp's here are 42-45C at the moment), starving, beaten up (two top front teeth missing and one of the bottom ones protrudes out side his lip) and had been shot twice by a air rifle.
So they took him to the vet who has cleaned him up, fixed his wounds, neutered him and tested him for diseases. All we do now is feed him up a bit, give him lots of love & attention and take him back in a couple of weeks for his final jabs.
Anyway as some of you are aware I can never get the pics to link so I've attached a tiny Milo, he is looking a bit worse for wear but after the day he had yeserday at the vets who can blame him....
Personally I know he never gonna win cutie of the year but I think he is great !!
BTW - If some can help me make the pic on here of Milo bigger I would be greatful.... Thanks
Puma, Dakona's housemate, Stu, looks just like your kitty. Adorable! Love the pics! Does he/she sit on your lap at the computer all the time? I have the hadrest time typing over Stu's back!
Kribs- Dakona is a mixie. He, his momma and siblings were dumped at the church I attend youth group at. Momma and a couple kittens went to a rescue, and 2 other kittens found homes locally (my best friend has Dakona's brother, who's solid slate grey!). We thought Kona would be small, as his mom was a very petite tabby, but he's 12 lbs. Bigger than my dog! His markings are similar to that of a Snowshoe kitty, but they're long-haired... We see twins of him all over the place, believe it or not!
Okay here is Fishsmurf's kitty....And upon looking at a bigger picture...he's adorable! I think his "alterations in appearance", we shall call them, are what make him so cute. I mean come on, look at that lip!
Leopardess,
I've already said it a couple of times but thank you for doing the picture thing for me, it's appreciated. :bowing:
We decided to give him a bath / shower last night. :idea2: Now, never having owned a cat before I wasn't quite aware of what I was letting myself in for, no wonder my fiance just said ok and let me get on with it (she has owned cats before). How long will it take the scratches to heal?
I got about half of him done and then decided it had been traumatic enough for both of us (me and Milo). But managed to clean up the area's around a few of his cut's and after half hour of sulking I think he forgave me. And he looks a lot better for it.
I must admit that before I didn't tend to think of myself as a cat person, but this guy is really growing on me..... Dodgy lip and all....
