Potential problems with dwarfs?

I'd still be leary, the crab may not actively hunt the puffers, but as they seem to be heavy sleepers if he stumbles upon them at night it would be too good of an opportunity for the crab to pass up IMO..

On a side note, I went to the lfs the other day and watched a feeder goldfish taunt some red crayfish (lobsters?) for about 15 mins, he would swim just out of claw range and kind of wiggle his tail tantalizingly towards the crayfish. He had 3 of them doing laps around the tank trying to catch him...funny little show:D

yep, that was my concern too, it was just hard to get that point out. IMO also, I wouldn't trust the RCC with any fish, let alone the puffers. Aside from seriously injuring or killing the puffer, there is the potential of their body toxins being let out even in the eye of a nip. I read that their toxins can be quite nasty if released into the tank, a danger for anything that still resides there. As I said, to everyone to each his own, but I wouldn't even try it to see if it would work. There's just too high of a risk element in too many areas.

I had a red claw crab... it tried latching onto a small clarias catfish and the result was... well... have you ever seen crablegs flying around like a blizzard in a fishtank? I didn't have a net available to break it up and it happened in the bottom of the tank (which was stakced up with rocks) in the back of a cave, and me, being somewhat clumsy, was afriad of knocking over the rocks and crush the 2 in the process. That crab was pretty nasty though, it managed to scare away several inquisitive cichlids...
