this so sucks! i just did a 50% water change in my 30gal and when i plugged everything back in the powerhead just stopped working! :help: is there any way to fix it?

no. and its a aquatic gardens powerhead 602.

Quite often after a period of time the impeller gets gunked up but still continues to spin (usually a bit slower). Once you stop it the momentum is lost & there is not enough power to resume. Not familiar w/ that particular model but most come apart to expose the impeller. Once you get it apart, gently (usually pretty fragile) clean & rinse the impeller & housing. Re-assemble, re-submerge, re-start bingo!! "T"

Hagen powerheads are the best..I had mine for over 10 years and they are still working..

Sometimes, they stop working but I open them up and spin the fan and it works again..

Both of mine did that, I just cleaned them out and they started working again.
Last time a small snail had been sucked into it and clogged it up hehe

that seems to be exactly what happens! i havn't checked the impeller yet, but after i filled up the tank and turned it on it was working fine, but i had to turn everything off to fix my filter (which is working now) and when i turned it on again it just didn't work! how do i get it apart?

i kept the receipt though. does anyone know petco's return policy?
