Pregnant Zebra Danio

how did it end up, was she really pregnant?
i bought 6 zebra danios today, active little rascals :D
was wondering, how do you differentiate between the males and females?

Remmy - males are slimmer. Females look more like a comma, males look almost the same thickness throughout. Females who are ready to breed will get very chubby - I think they look like little striped tadpoles - as they fill with eggs.

I had danios many years ago, and they bred in the tank - one day there was frantic activity at the top of the tank, I had no idea what had them so excited, and a few days later I noticed the fry wiggling around on the gravel! I'm not sure what would happen if there are other fish in the tank - in my case the danios were the only fish (I was a teenager, buying my fish a bit at a time as I could afford them:))

I found a picture that shows the difference by searching Google images, hope it helps :D

I had danios and one got real fat. I thought it was pregnant, but it wasn't. Then I thought he was just a healthy eater, but that wasn't the case either. I turned out that my danio got so fat it burst! I've been told it was due to constipation. It is a good idea to feed those little guys some peas.
