What do you think a proven pair of angels would cost by color strain?

i.e.

Silver
Marble
Gold
Pearlscale
Platinum
Leopard
Smokey Blue Blushing
Chocolate Marble
Koi

and so on.

i see pairs for sale on aquabid all the time. . . . i don't know if there is a way to bookmark auctions so you can keep track of them easily (i just browse) but you could keep an eye on some and see what the winning bids are like.

at least 20 for a small pair, but if you want a fully grown pair, they go for $40 and up around here, depending on the strain. pearl scale, smokey blue blushing, and platinum are probably the most. the raised, pearly look of the scales, single color, and blue color are hard to get out in angels. if they are veil or super veil, they will probably be more.

well, yah...significantly more based on what one 30+ year breeder is telling me. He has an excellent rep over there (angelfish.net) and is selling off all of his non-koi stock including adults, new pairs, and proven parent-raising pairs.

for a pair like that you will pay hundreds
proven pair of wild Peruvians can run $125 - $300
most of the price is dependent on the pair..pearlscale,wild X F1 etc.

some have genetics that will produce X # of offspring that will get more $$

Wild F1 here gets double $$ on the fry. dime size will bring $6-$10

Thanks star_rider. I was looking for something like that to gauge what he tells me he wants for them. I'm thinking that with proven pairs like that I am more likely to make back my initial investment rather than having to wait on adults to pair off if I went that route.
