Problems with well water?

I've had my tank set up for over a month (46 gallon) and in the last 2 days I've lost 2 Angelfish. PH, hardness, amonia, nitrate and nitrite levels are all good. I've been good on maintanence water changes, not overfeeding etc., but can't figure out the problem. My other 2 Angels are starting to look sick now also.
My question is, I recently read that using well water could be the problem because of the salt used in the softening process. Does any one have any experience with this and is there a fix for this problem.

Test your tap water out of the tap and then get a sample in a cup and let it sit for 24 hrs and then test it.

I have well water but its an individual well,my only problem is low GH.The PH is 6 out of the tap but rises to 6.8 after 24 hrs.

A little salt shouldn't hurt the fish,but it depends on how often you do water changes and what size you do them.

It would help if you listed your parameters instead of just saying they're good.
The more info you give these guys the better.

It could be anything, every well is different depending on what ground it's coming from. For instance, my father in law has a well and I can light his tap water on fire! He has a lot of oil in his water. So you should have your water tested for everything especially the stuff you wouldn't think to test for. anything that is in the ground surrounding your well will be in your water even if its filtered, so you might want to check on that.

Since this morning I have found the only change in my water condition is that the KH has dropped from 120 to 40 ppm. There are no Nitrates or Nitrites present, PH is and has been contant at 6.8, GH is 25.
The only other thing at issue is that I was lax in keeping my home softening system for my well water filled with salt. The last water change was done recently after the home softener had cycled. Could my now properly working well softening system be affecting the KH in the water and if so is adding a buffer what I should be doing?
The tank is a 46 gal. In it are 3 Angels, 2 Discus, and 4 Cory Cats. So far the Discus and others seem to be doing okay.
