The pump model is Rio 800 RVT. It came on my ProClear 75 skimmer and it seems to all of a sudden be more powerful--the cyclone inside the skimmer is moving so fast that a ton of bubbles are emptying into the sump. I've cleaned the air tube and valve already and it's still doing the same thing.

Usually the cyclone comes to a point at the bottom, but now I can't see it there are so many bubbles. Anyone seen this and know the fix? Also, what position are the little 90 degree venturi intakes supposed to be in? I've rotated mine back and forth with little to no change. Anyone have a manual they can email me that explains the flow adjustments?

I had the 600 RVT on my CPR. I do not know if it makes a difference where the ports are pointed, but the smaller tube which feed from the in-port into the skimmer tube is at 12 o'clock and that leaves the other at 6 o'clock which feeds the air tube. Does your air tube have an adjuster on the end or maybe it needs to be changed. Some have filters in them which get dirty. Another problem if when I would treat the water with certain chemicals that caused more air bubbles in the water at the skimmer port, dealer told me it was when the water quality was not balanced.
