Hi all,
I recently setup a 30 gallon SW tank about 4 months ago. The tank was FOWLR until about a month ago. Then I started putting in some corals. I am ashamed to say that I still do not have a protein skimmer for this tank. :thud:
For my 90 gallon, I have an In-sump skimmer which has worked fine for last few years I've had it. But considering the small size of the 30 gallon and the limited space (corner of a room), I'm not sure which skimmer would work best. In-sump is not a likely option due to the limited space in the stand. Huge hanging skimmer that's going to take up 30% of the already limited 30 gallon space also doesn't seem very desirable.
Could you please make some suggestions on affordable skimmers that might work for my tank? How are those Nano Fission skimmers? The product spec says that it works up to 30 gallons... but I think we all know that we can't always rely on those manufacturer's overstated spec. But I still wanted to see if anyone had experience using one of those in their "little bigger than nano" tanks.
Thank you!
