protein skimmer

the pump went out on my skimmer and i cant replace it right away.
how long can my 72g with 10 fish go with out it? what are the affects

As long as you have good bio filtration and water movement, a skimmer is not a must have item. They are helpful, so I would get it back up as soon as possible. Good luck.
