Thats nice to hear. Especially because so many aquariums focus on saltwater and freshwater displays, especially planted displays can really take back seat.
If you ever get the chance and find yourself in Orlando, I strongly recommend that any fish-heads spend a day at Discovery Cove. It's not exactly an aquarium, but they have a HUGE reef that you can swim in, touch pool with rays, and dolphin interaction. They also have a very nice aviary.
I've been to the freshwater aquarium in Duluth Minnesota. Pretty fun, though parts are starting to look like they've seen better days. Just got back from South Africa, where I visited the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town. It was AWESOME!
The Newport aquarium has alot of good exhibits. They have an amazing glass tunnel that you walk through while sharks swim over head. The freshwater tank are also impressive. The aquarium is located in Newport Kentucky which is just south of Cincinnati Ohio.
