hi do any of you know why my puffers are eating my onion plant (don't know what its real name is) they don't both any other and there arn't any snails on the plant
My puffer has a set path that he swims all day long and if a plant gets in it's way he wont hesitate chomping off the offender. doesn't eat it mind you, just chomps it off (always the nicest stems too ). I've kept all kind of plants with my puffer, but mostly swords and anubis nana nowadays. I have one of those onion plants too, impulse buy from petco the other night! know what it is?
I agree with rjl - puffers have a rather Cichlid-like attitude toward plants - if it is "in their way", they remove it, but usually by biting rather than digging as many Ciclids do.
