Are dwarf puffs brackish? I have a 20 and 40 gallon tanks and i want to keep puffers in the 40 id have figure eights and in the twenty i would have dwarfs also what would be the general regular care like weekly and daily? Good tankmates?

They are not brackish,and i would not add any tank mates. Imagine little helicopters with teeth. They're pretty viscous for such little fish

Iv read almost everywhere that figure 8 puffers are brackish. Pea puffers are not. Green spotted are brackish to full marine

...I was going to say this in your other thread, but anyone who says dwarfs are brackish is full of it.
For the figure 8 tank? I'm not an expert on either but my guess is they wouldn't be a great mix...not to mention you'd have to configure the layout to have ample land for the mudskippers while still getting enough water volume for the puffers.
the 40 has enough room for a slope but i dont want to continously have to put the sand back up so it didnt slide. what if i put in a barrier with sand behind it and had a branch slope out onto the sand and had more branches in the water?
What if i some how connected the 20 and 40 so the skippers could access both but the puffers would be in the 40 and there would be pools of water in the 20? i like mangroves too
I really think puffers would kill the mud slippers
