puffers? Should I get one?

Ok, have a spare 10gal kicking around and while I was at the pet store the other day we saw the green spotted puffers for $10 and they were SOOOOO CUTE!!!!!
So, my question is, would 1 GSP live hapily in a 10gal tank? Or is it way to small. If it's not advisable, what kind of dwarf puffer would be ok in a 10gal?
My BF really wants one, but there is NO WAY I am putting a puffer in my 30gal reef for it to eat all my inverts.
 
10 gallons will be too small for a GSP. They get to 6" and being a "round fish" I feel they need a bit more room to be happy. If you go with dwarf puffers, you could do one male and 2 females if the tank was setup with a lot of places to hide. But remember that DPs are freshwater, not brackish.
 
also remember that dwarf puffers (and puffers in general) aren't the easiest fish to feed. They don't normally accept prepared foods such as flakes and pellets. You will most likely have to feed them live and frozen meaty foods.
 
The food variety isn't a problem. (with about 11 pets with COMPLETELY different food requirements (not including the fish) I've gotten used to preparing frozen/thawed/live foods.

great! Let us know if you're interested in getting dwarf puffers. I've got 2 myself in a 10 gal. Another wonderful site to get general info on dp's is www.dwarfpuffers.com. There is also a forum there (of which I'm also a member) for you to ask specific dwarf puffer care questions :)
