I have a knight goby in with my figure 8...for 2 years now I believe. The first knight goby was really aggressive at feeding time (so it went back to the LFS - didn't last 2 weeks in the tank), but this second one (the one that has been there two years) is real mellow. My figure 8 has never nipped it's fins.
I had less success with a black molly. The molly and puffer were fine for about a year, but then they started getting nasty with each other and the molly was off to the LFS.
