Hey everyone,

So I am looking into getting a new fresh water puffer.
Now I've been getting mixed info on figure eights , some saying they are great in both fresh and brackish water. Others saying , once they are becoming adults they NEED brackish water.
Also looking at Red eye puffers. I know they are 100% freshwater. But they are much harder to find for me.

Does anyone know if it's ok for a figure eight to live in fresh water? Or any suggestions on fresh water puffers?
Thanks,

F8s do best in slightly brackish water. There are other options for fully FW puffers, have a look at this thread for some ideas:
