WTB Pure Peacock Endlers

I am needing some new blood in my tank. So I am looking for pure peacocks that look like this:

I am willing to trade some of mine I have now so you can get new blood as well or trade for pomacea bridgesii apple snails or I will buy them outright if the price is right.

I have some pure peacocks, but they aren't that strain. You aren't going to get different blood if you mix new fish from the same line.

I am not sure what you mean?? If I bring in new peacocks that are unrelated to the ones I have now then that will add new unrelated genes keeping inbreeding to a minimum.

What do your peacocks look like?

I mean peacocks from the same line. You can breed hundreds (or more) fry from the same male to establish a particular line, but they'll all be closely related. If you mix more Endler's that look like the ones you have they're most likely from the same stock. My peacocks have a more distinct black spot on the tail, less black on the body, more orange/red color overall.

I bought some suppose to be peacocks and their tails are yellow outlined instead of orange like the above so are they peacocks or something else, here is a pic of some of my males. Sorry they are crappy shots. I would possibly be willing to do some swapping for dark feet briggs if you are interested.

Peacocks have a black spot on their tail, (like the "eyes" on a male peacocks tail) what other color/s are in the tail don't necessarily mean anything. I'd post pics of some of mine if they'd hold still long enough for my point-and-shoot autofocus to get any decent ones.

Kim what you have there are known as black bar they are still pure endlers. Endlers come in a wide variety of "styles"

I think I understand what you are saying toddnbecka but they would be so far removed from each other that it would still serve to add a variation in the genes.

The ones I have in my tank now came from 5-6 different sellers an those sellers got them from different sellers etc. So I know that there is a wide variety of genes in there and I want even more to increase the odds that genetic defects will be held at bay. I havnt seen any evidence at all that is happening in my tank and I want to keep it that way.
