I picked up a python-style system (whatever immitation WalMart was selling) and took it home hoping it would save me several trips between tanks and sinks... Fits most standard faucets... right...:mad2:

I was really hoping to have it for my tanks in my bedroom, since the bathroom sink doesn't give enough room to fill a bucket easily, and the faucet on the tub is too hard to regulate temperature. Not even close to fitting...

Oh well, my office tank would still make it worthwhile, but it still didn't fit.

Guess it's back to walmart to get rid of this thing. I'm not spending $50 on something to save a little trouble that will require me to spend another $100+ to change the faucets!

It might help to buy a pump from the pond section of a hardware store. That's how I do my 20-gallon tank. It's not worth it for me to buy a longer Python. Two 5-gallon buckets is normally all I change out. I fill the water up, carry it near my tank and pump it into the tank. No pouring.

I have never had an issue with my python hooking up to a sink..

why not just go to home depot or something similar and get an adaptor, having the python is worth it. i too had a faucet in my bathroom that it accept so i bought the adaptor for $3.

I love my python. I couldn't imagine doing wc's on my 55 without it. My only problem is the valve leaks when I'm running water back in.

Mine has just started doing this too...drips alittle when filling...I just keep a towel under it

they real python comes with a faucet adapter was really easy. i thought walmart does sell the python lol

I just bought the python brass sink adaptor for like $7 and use hoses.

The real python faucet adapter didn't work for me (it came with the python, supposedly would work for any sink!). So I spent an hour at the local hardware store finding an adapter that would work between my faucet and the python adapter. I later figured out that I could have (possibly easier-ly) found an adapter that would go between my faucet and a hose, since the python green plastic bit has a hose thread on it...
