Python/Lee's/Aqueon/Marina Water changer/vac systems

Which is the best? Are they all pretty much the same quality? Which come with faucet adapters (my faucet is female)? I'll be using this on a bathroom faucet. I have well water so I have a weaker water flow, will they still work? Anything I should know?

I have four tanks right now, soon to be five, and it's getting pretty tiresome with the buckets...
 
I think I'm leaning towards Lee's Ultimate Gravel Vac kit. It has a claw so I don't suck up my fish... Which happened last night w/ my dwarf cichlid. I saved him though. Small fish and shrimp make me hate water changes... I miss not having to worry with my big piranhas.
 
I have a Python but I don't hook it up to a facet to siphon water. I get the siphon going the old fashioned way and it's nowhere near strong enough to suck up a fish. I only hook it up to the facet to fill the tank.
 
i use the vac attachment on my hot magnum filter excellent vac and the water gets filtered then flows back in the tank and it makes cleaning simple and no mess :)
 
You can buy the eductor separate on ebay and online cheap, its that part that connects to the faucet and makes the Python drain and fill the tank. I bought a Lee's and it works fine but the hoses were really short to reach to the bathroom. If I could do it over againe I would buy the eductor separate and some cheap garden hose at Lowes. I admit that the Magnum vac attachment workes pretty good for vacuming the tank, but by the time it need it, its already time for a water change so my use my Lee's vac and it workes great every water chnage day.
 
in terms of durability I have used both the Lee's and python.


my python I like the vac portion but for parts the lee's seem to be less proe to breakage.
IMO
Ihave had to replace several parts on the python with the lees parts.

I got the lee's free but it was a short one.

I already had the python 50' set up

The marina comes with a grated cover that allows water and smaller debris through but not fish.
 
The Lee's comes with a "cleaning claw" that does the same thing as the Marina's grate. \

What do you mean the hoses are too short? They're supposed to be the size that you bought it in. Like 25 ft, 50 ft, etc.
 
I went to a waterbed store and bought a waterbed drain refill kit for $5.00. I attached my gravel vac to a 25' RV drinking water hose and have another 25' when needed. I drain my water outdoors to water the bushes or lawn. I then use the kit to refill. Just a gravity siphon drain and it will suck up smaller guppies when they get too nosey and my RCS. I do my best to avoid them but occcasionaly still get one or two.

I tried using a sponge or floss as a barricade but that turned into more trouble than it was worth.
