You add the conditioner into the water stream and treat for the whole tank and not just how much you're putting in. You can also add ferts into the stream as well.Wildiana said:

i could do that with a small water change like a 20-25% but i normally do a 40-50%...do you think that might be risky? do you do that much?

My normal regime is 50-60% on each non-rainbow tank once a week. The rainbows get changed 50-60% the same amount twice a week.Wildiana said:
