I'm leaving for a trip to the LFS and Menards. I need to know how many LBS of sand I will need for a 29 gal. I'm not sure if it is 29 gal or 29 gal tall ~ (30inL x 13inW x 16inT). Thanks. One other thing quick, what is a good type or brand of Flourite or Laurite for a new planted tank?

20lbs of sand and buy the best priced flourite....no brand is better than any other...it's all the same.
