Question about a Gar

how would a gar do with the following fish?

Silver Arowanas
Shovelnose Catfish
Parrot Cichlids
Syndontis Cat
Clown-Knife

i'm looking at a spotted Gar and getting him around 6 inches
how big do they usually get?

my main concern is how compatible they are with the fish listed above

What type of Gar? Some are in the 12" range some are in the 3' + range.

Needlenoses fall under the category of "false gars". They stay smaller, around 1 foot max length. Try search their scientific name Xenentodon cancila.
