I'm about to get 36" 630W Metal Halide System and trying to get into sps corals but sadly I know nothing about them:sad::sad::sad: so I was wondering if you guys could list off some easy to care corals so far i've found Montipora & Pagoda Coral are good beginner sps corals are there any others?

i've never seen someone classify a pagoda cup as an sps, but oh well.
yeah, montis are easy, capts, all the encrustings types. etc
hydnoporas
birdsnest
and for acros, try a green slimer.
:)

Agree with Fishieness, I am no expert by any means, but I would start with some Monti's, Caps,Digitata, and encrusting varieties. Maybe some Hydnophora,Pocillopora,Scroll(cup coral), whatever I guess. At first, I would buy cheaper stuff, things you could afford to lose if you run into problems and while you hone your SPS husbandry. Make sure tank is clean(filters, sand, etc),No phosphates, very limited nitrates, lots and lots of flow, and optimal levels for Alk, Cal, Mg and SR ALWAYS. Temp can vary slightly usually a couple of degrees won't bother anything. Don't let it get too hot, 76 to 80 at the most, IMO. Some may run higher temps, I keep mine between 77 and 79, sometimes will see 80 for a short period, the less the swings the better. Hope this helps some, if you have any ?'s, please ask, I'll be glad to help you out if I can.

Be careful with Aquacon, high shipping and some things listed as beginner or easy are very difficult and rarely survive. I have bought stuff from them about 6 or 7 yrs ago, and wasn't impressed at all(never bought again from there). Others may have had good experiences, but mine could have been better. The site is basically the same, so it may be safe to assume(I know, I know ***=u+me) the experience may be the same too.
