question about stocking

as of now i have a green terror and jack dempsy in a 40 gallon tank, what other fish can i put in there, i was thinking a puffer and maybe some red breasted pirhanas ( suggested by fish clerk) is this a good idea? have any better ideas( i like aggresive fish)

I have an idea! Get a bigger tank first before you add anything.

Personally I am a bit of a purist...IMO Cichlids are best enjoyed in a species tank...Pic one or the other and get a mate for them...Trade the odd ball in. Dempseys are stunning as adults and a nice pair would make a great tank.

IMO, even keeping one of the cichlids would be tight in the tank. I think you could get a more stunning aquarium with a community tank with a 40g.

barrie, wow i have lots of family up there near the costco right off the highway... barrie is a nice place right near lake simcoe.
