1....I was wondering if i could just buy play sand and just throw like 2 bags of live sand on top would that work and take over and make it live in the future so please answer that for me ?

you can but I wouldn't. Unless you find southdown the sand will be very sharp and could cut the gills of any sandsifters you get. Plus it will more than likely be full of silica which will cause major diatom blooms and it won't have any buffering ability. not worth the money you will save.
true and that goes for any type of sand really, Play,pool. Only sand worth using is aragonite or livesand But I would just do aragonite since it will turn into LIVE sand due to the LR in the tank.
I would just use araganite (spelling). From what I read play sand is full of silica (spelling again) and is horrible for your tank.
