My 2 oscar fish are in a 55 gal tank. Did their mating signs, started to lip lock, tail quivers clearing the floor of the tank. The male oscar 7"which is a little bit bigger than the female 6" seemed to be the dominant one of the tank always picking on the female. He is changing colors all of the time also. But they were constantly like best friends rubbing against each other all of the time. Now the roles have changed and she is the dominant one of the tank now, always raming into him and constantly lip locking when she gets close to him. He has been staying at the bottom right corner of the tank for 2 days now. We turned the temp down thinking maybe one of them is not reading to mate but now she is acting this way!! We also added a big fake log in the middle which he cleared all of the stones out of. Then she put all of the stones back after we turned the water temp down to below 79. Help were new to this!
