la.
hello there, I am new here i have looking for information on my Target fish[terapon jarbua]. I manage a pet store. i bought these fish with the distibitor telling me that they get 5 inches and had to be in a school. Well i finaly got a computar and started looking. Well cant find much. In the wild they get 15 inches. Well everything in my tanks get wild size. So i have been doing what i think is right. For starters i got them in march and they are already 4-6 inches. They live in a 100 gallon brackish - salenaty at 16 -temp 82 -subtrate is over board mainly after i put 125 pound of granted crushed coral and that was a nightmare i put 100 pounds of sand over it. I know I know i use to lazy to take the coral out. But i do have plans on how to take most of it out. My husband does like how it looks.
Any ways they eat frozen beef hearts and krill. Pretty anything frozen.
And they like low light with and open tank with brocken pots to hide in and a log to chace each other around. Any body have experance with these fish or comants how i can inprove it. Oh i have 2 emperiors and a powerhead filter that does 600 gph.

My other tank is only a 30 gal. I just went and bought a 55 gal to set up.
In there is everyone that the target fish kicked out. And i mean kicked out they were jumping out of the tank to get away from them! I want to set it up right. So far i only have 2 heaters and a marinland 220 mag. canister. Which i am not happy with. Its is haveing truble with my 30g.
So i need a nother one. It is going to be a brackish tank. Not sure what salenity. Oh i do have 125 pounds of sand. [no it is not all going in the tank]
Liveing in the tank will be a green spotted puffer about 1 yr old -2 dragon gobys 1 afoot long the other about 6 ins -scrible puffer about half inch.
Then i have other odds and ends that just needed a place to live. Like several mollies -acouple plates 1 gold gouromie and feeder guppies no one ate.Sorry but i realy dont care about the odds and ends. I want to whats right for puffers and gobys. Please dont feel anger towards me for that. I do give the nice looking ones to my customers. But working at a pet store you learn you can save them all. Thanks for your time.

Okay a lot of your questions I'm not sure on how to answer but I will tell you what I can.

For the puffers, I'm assuming you mean an Figure 8 puffer when you say scribbled? If so, figure 8s and green spotted puffers can't live in the same tanks. GSPs live in high end/marine water as they age, F8s stay in low end brackish. You could keep the GSP in the 30 gallon by himself, and then keep the F8 in the 55 with the dragon goby and the mollies.

I hope that this helped a little bit...

hello there; He is a vietname scribble puffer. My freind has figure 8 puffers. I want to tare down the 30 gal. Have to meny animals to keep it up. So puffers and gobies have to live togeather. Iam hoping that a 55 gal. will give them enough space away from each other. Right now i have to meny hiding spots and loaded with plants.

i went to that site last night and didnt find him. I will have to get my daughters camra and take a pic. I buy all these werd things from sun pets. I have stopped because their information on what they sell isnt always right. done with the [real ]oddballs.but if it is what you say it is thats fine i love a reason to get a bigger tank. Let me tell you what i did to my husband. I had a 30 gal. tank. I wanted a bigger tank so i bought a gaint gouromi when it was about 2 inches. And i played dumb thats how i got my 100 gal. Iam sneacky like that. He found some one that had a 500 gal. but i was scared of it. The equitment for it and trying to clean it. I thought i would be happy with a 100 {not] You would think with all the tanks at work i would bern out.
