In my 33g in my livingroom I have 2 - pleco's , 1 - dojo loach, 3 - goldfish, 1 - blue gourami, 1- angel, 3 - blood parrots, 4 - silver dollars, and a electric blue lobster. I find that the smallest female dollar keeps getting what appears to be swim bladder.....then it just goes away. Could the other fish be swimming into her or something causing these swim bladder-like conditions???

unfortunately you are very overstocked, and have a very bad combination of fish. I think those factors would contribute to any problems you have. I would remedy those situations (see if the LFS will take back some fish, get another tank, etc.) and see what happens.
Also what are your water conditions (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)?

Ya I'd have to agree about the tank size possibly contributing to issues you're having. For what you have listed, I wouldnt go below 75 gallons. Also silver dollars are skittish fish and they dont like to be confined. Having them in a larger tank definitly will help. Also just so you know, they can get pretty big. I had 10 in a large tank and they got to the size of CDs (the body alone...excluding fins).

Your silver dollar is probably stunted and that's why she's having problems. She has no room to physically grow but her internal organs will continue to do so. Her and the other 3 need to be in at least a 65g.

That tank is too crowded for all those fish. Those 3 goldfish need at *least* a 55g tank all to themselves and most wouldn't put three in less than a 75g. Depending on the type and assuming they are Fancies and not Comets, they can grow from 6-10" each. They are also not tropical fish and shouldn't be housed with tropicals. The dojos also need cooler water and can be housed with the goldies.

Goldfish and plecos are ENORMOUS poop machines. What are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings?
How often are you doing water changes and how much?

You've got enough fish for 4 LARGE tanks there, katianna.

thanx for the info peeps.....the gourami went into my other 33g with her gourami buddies.....I'm cycling a 25g in my room for the goldfish to go in until summer and then they go back in the pond outside.....Everyone else seems to be quite content other then the small female dollar...but even she looks better today then she did 2 days ago.She seems to be back to her normalish self. as for ph levels I have no idea....I haven't come across my kits since my move...but all my other tanks including the one in question are doing great...no losses and all content...just the one dollar gave me a fright.
