Quick Question!! Need a very quick answer!

Is playsand from walmart or canadian tire good for aquariums, because my mom and aunt are heading there in a few minutes????

Perhaps. Some poeple have had success from play sand but some people have problems. One thing i can say for sure is it can be a pain to vacumm the sand because you can't do it the same way you vacumm gravel. Sand looks nice but its more work.

You've got to watch out when buying commercial sand, since you never know what you may get. Although I pay a few more bucks, I'd rather buy my sand in an aquarium shop just to be certain it won't add anything unexpected in the water.

People have bought commercial sand and have been succesful. Do a search and see which brands have worked with other people.
