Quick Question on Salt Treatment for Ick

I have some moss balls and java moss in my 55 gal. and a few of the neons in it are showing signs of ick. My question is will the salt kill my moss balls and java moss? I want to use the salt and heat treatment but I don't want to kill my moss. Anyone?
