in my mini Canister, i only have a plastic canvas, i need to saction things off to direct a path for the water, so im wrapping it with saran wrap to make it... "solid"

It won't last long- it gets fragile fast. You're probably better off getting a piece of plexiglas or something cut to fit.

ic.. well as of now im using a low quality container as well.. so im going to eventually replace the entire set up.. this is a testing stage one...

I wouldn't use saran wrap in a filter... bound to get sucked up and break the impeller.
