that technique is actually used by some grocery stores to prevent teenagers from loitering around the outside/parking lot. the high pitched noise keeps them away, while the majority of the shoppers cannot hear it.

But I do think I'll put an end to the game Monday night. So when the noise comes back on Thursday it will be more puzzling and irritating.
I'm gonna have to side with J here, there are some people that outright deserve it. I can think of a couple of a couple people that would well deserve this kind of prank. Some of them include those in the corporate end of my job (who cut payrolls yet they themselves don't take cuts) and one manager.
RB is just upset because a. he can't hear the high-pitched noises anymore and b. all the rules in the mafia game keep changing.

This made me laugh. Rarely does anything on the computer makes me laugh.
I also bookmarked this item. I am thinking placing this item in someones car. At $10, I am not sure how much I want to annoy someone. I wonder how long they beep for.
it says the battery will last for a month. put in a new one after six weeks, just when they're sure the noise has stopped forever.
Well, another employee has returned to work today and has joined the search for the device. His hearing is actually pretty good. He has the location of one pinpointed to the wallpaper books shelves. But he's still nowhere near the actual annoy-a-tron (and he'll be going to lunch soon, so it won't be there for long). But it really throws him off when the second one that is now hidden inside a large stack of post-it notes (yes I actually took the time to cut out a section in the middle for it to fit) goes off. He is thinking it is the computer like everyone else is.
