Are they compatible? I know the badis are cichlid-like in their habits but is there a possibility of squabbling between them and blue rams? I might be buying six young badis scarlet for my 75 and four blue rams...

The "Scarlet Badis" may be territorial, but they will max out at less than an inch! They take up territory on the substrate, where the Rams will count them as intruders. Rams are rough on Cories, even, IME.

This fish is now called Badis badis. People keeping them are generally keeping them in a densely planted species tank, as small as ten gallons.

I have Badis ruber, a bigger fish. I'd still hesitate to put them in with Rams. Mine are by themselves. Pencilfish? Otocinclus? Or Spike-tail Paradisefish and Kuhli Loaches? if you want to stay Asian...
