My german blue ram loves to fight with the bolivian ram. When they aren't lip locking; they like to nip on my plants specifically the baby tears. The rams tend to pull on the leaves and yank the entire strand of leaves with the roots of the soil. Is this normal or do I have rams who love to eat plants? Is it b/c they are bored? All my other fish doesn't eat plants.

That happens to me too ; He digs through the eco complete in the back and makes like a hideout where he rests. Its actually kind of funny b/c it looks like i have a sloping mountain of soil in the tank since he keeps digging to keep his hideout a little below the plant and substrate.

sweet.. too bad I cant tell if my bolivian is M/F?

It confuses me b/c it sorta have a pinkish belly.. but also has little fins growing out of the anal fin. So not sure if its M/F?

I keep gold rams in a planted tank and have never seen this behaviour. They are still young though and the plants are well rooted.

My Germans dont seem to eat the plants..

Mikrogeophagus(mini eartheater) lol

my bolivians will dig pits for fry..if there is a plant where they want to dig..well guess what?? yup uprooted.
on the whole not so bad..they could re arrange the entire tank.
